01 / Build
A rack of generators.
Every card is its own generator: x0x, Euclid, 303, 808, 909, Bass, Keys and more. Add what you need, mute what you don’t.
02 / Roll
Two dice per card.
Sound rolls a new timbre and keeps the rhythm. Pattern rolls a new sequence and keeps the sound.
03 / Play
In time with your track.
With DAW on, the rack follows your DAW’s tempo and Play. Cards, sounds and patterns are saved with the project.

Start here
Install. Activate. Press Play.
- Purchase Rudiment Blocks, then open your Lemon Squeezy order to download the Mac installer. Your receipt links to the same place.
- Quit your DAW. Open Rudiment-Blocks-0.4.0-macOS-universal.pkg and follow the installer. It installs the VST3 and the Audio Unit.
- Rescan plug-ins in your DAW and put RUDIMENT BLOCKS on a MIDI track.
- Open the plug-in, paste the license key from your receipt or order and press Activate. This needs an internet connection once.
- Press Play. The rack plays by itself: no MIDI clip needed.
About the license. One key activates two computers. After the first activation the plug-in works offline.
Before you buy.
How do I use it in Ableton Live?
Load RUDIMENT BLOCKS on a MIDI track and press Play. It generates its own notes, so the track needs no MIDI clip; the track’s output is audio.
What is included?
A macOS installer with the VST3 and Audio Unit instrument, and a license key for two computers. The sounds are built in.
Is there a Windows version?
Not yet. Rudiment Blocks is for macOS 12 or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel.
